Another hard day at school

These pictures are of Sundance's Orange Bowl, one of theri double-blacks and supposedly their hardest trail. The powder was probably just under 2 feet, and there had been only one other person track out the bowl before I went. It was pretty awesome cruising through this powder...Here's a video of Orange Bowl:

12-Month Doctor's Visit

Last week we took James to the doctor for his 12-month check up. He is now 22.29 lbs (42nd %tile) and 30.75" long (81st %tile). We are so grateful for baby James!! :)

Sundance

At Sundance, I went up with a friend to carve out the new powder (well, from 2 days ago)...we went down Bishop's Bowl and Shauna's Secret twice...the powder at the top of Bishop's was blown away by strong winds, but once you're in the bowl, there were some nice areas of untouched powder. We also went down Jamie's, Junior's, Hawkeye (2x), and some other runs...Hopefully we'll get a new, big storm Sunday night and that it stays cold! This season, we've had some great snow days where every run would be floating on new powder. It's a great feeling to be coasting through new snow. Having 80+ inches of snow is great too - there will be nothing compared to Utah snow in the northeast when we head out there...Besides Bishop's Bowl, there are a few awesome trails such as Grizzly Bowl, Drop Out, and Marmot Gultch (when you climb to the top of it to start out)...

Jumpin Jacks

Warehouse full of inflatable play structures + kids = energetic fun!

This was so cute! I took out the camera to take a shot and the arms shot up! This is his signature pose! Also, when we first got to the place, he was really scared of the inflatables (tears). Once he overcame the fear of the giant mushrooms and snails (don't blame him) he would periodically look over at me and put his arms up--his way of saying his is a brave, big boy (mom's heart melting)--because arms up means "sooo big!"
